System Startup Logo Modification

How my C3 systems managed to have their own custom boot logos like a name-brand computer...

It's pretty simple, but you have to be really careful to do this BIOS modification. Ok... both of my MTDX systems, both the original and and the new Black Max have their own boot logos. Their BIOS's are both Phoenix-Award D686 versions. Sorry, this doesn't work on AMI (American Megatrends) BIOS revisions. Simply or not so simple to others, I downloaded the latest BIOS revisions for the motherboards in the systems. I then downloaded these tools: I created the full-screen logos in paint in windows as a 640x480 size (required). Pretty simple. Once they were created, I saved them as 256 color BMP files, then re-saved them as TIFF files. Then I inserted all of the tools and the BIOS file (AWBMTOOLS, CBROM.EXE, and the BIOS file) into a directory on the desktop. I then opened Command Prompt, then set it to the directory (Example C:\WINDOWS\> CD C:\Documents and Settings\Nick\Desktop\BIOS for MTDX with ECS board\ [ENTER]) I then run the commands that run the tools to change the Image from TIFF to Award BMP, then run the commands to insert the picture To get the instructions click the link below. REMEMBER, Modifying the BIOS is risky and can deem your motherboard USELESS if you mess up and make an error. Cube Computer Company and/or the author of the website in the link below WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBILE for the loss of a motherboard or any errors that occur, so be SUPER Careful
